Terms & Conditions

1. Who We Are

These terms govern the services provided by MASBOD Ltd ("MASBOD", "we", "us") — including 1:1 life coaching, digital downloadable guides, and free content published on this website and in our newsletter. By booking a session, purchasing a digital product, or using this website, you ("the Client", "you") agree to these terms.

2. Our Services

We provide 1:1 life coaching (single sessions and multi-session packages), digital downloadable guides available for purchase, and free editorial content and a newsletter. Coaching sessions are delivered personally and are not automated or delegated to another coach unless expressly agreed with you in advance.

3. Booking & Payment

  1. Coaching sessions and digital products are purchased directly through our online store. Payment is taken at the time of booking via our payment processor. We do not store your full card details ourselves.
  2. Multi-session packages must be used within 6 months of purchase unless otherwise agreed. Sessions do not carry over or expire mid-package without prior communication.
  3. We reserve the right to decline a booking at our discretion, including where we believe coaching is not the appropriate form of support for your situation.

4. Not Therapy or Medical Treatment

This clause is important and should be read carefully.

  1. Coaching is not therapy, counselling, or medical treatment, and MASBOD is not a substitute for professional clinical, psychological, or medical care.
  2. If, in our judgement, a client's needs are more appropriately met by a qualified therapist, counsellor, or medical professional, we will say so honestly and may decline or discontinue coaching, providing signposting to appropriate support where possible.
  3. Coaching relating to sobriety and alcohol use reflects personal experience and coaching practice, not clinical addiction treatment. If you are concerned about your own drinking, please speak to your GP or a service such as Drinkline (0300 123 1110, free and confidential).
  4. You confirm that you are not relying on coaching sessions as a substitute for medical or psychiatric care you have been advised to seek.

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  1. Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice at no charge.
  2. Sessions cancelled or missed with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged in full, at our discretion, reflecting the time reserved for you.
  3. Where you are contracting as a consumer, you have the right to cancel a booking within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, except where you have expressly requested that a session take place within that period, in which case you may still cancel but may be charged on a pro-rata basis for any session already delivered.

6. Digital Guides

  1. Digital guides are delivered electronically upon purchase. Given the nature of digital content, once a guide has been downloaded, it is not eligible for a refund except where the product is faulty or materially not as described.
  2. Digital guides are licensed for your own personal use only. You may not resell, redistribute, or share purchased guides with others.

7. The Journal & Newsletter

Content published in The Journal and our newsletter is provided for general informational and educational purposes. It is not personalised advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for guidance specific to your circumstances, whether from a coach, medical professional, financial adviser, or other qualified professional as relevant.

8. Limitation of Liability

  1. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
  2. Subject to Clause 8.1, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with these terms, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the relevant service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
  3. We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit where you are contracting in a business capacity.
  4. Coaching outcomes depend significantly on your own engagement and action between sessions. We do not guarantee specific results.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including Journal articles, guides, and coaching materials, is the intellectual property of MASBOD Ltd unless otherwise stated, and may not be reproduced or distributed without permission.

10. General

  1. These terms constitute the entire agreement between us in respect of the relevant service, together with any specific terms confirmed to you in writing.
  2. We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force at the time you book or purchase applies to that booking or purchase.
  3. If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall continue in full force.
  4. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
